Lets Talk Crowds and Venues

My very first full blown event where I would say my career as a compere was launched had an estimated crowd of at least 1,500 people if I want to be conservative.

It was at Federal Palace Hotel Gardens….a telecoms company end of year party for staff and their spouses.

I have since hosted events with capacity as low as 10 persons to 2000 persons.

Below is a list of some of the venues I have done across Nigeria so far. I can’t remember some of them but these are some I can recall. I was very poor at diariarizing and keeping pictures…One of my regrets which I have repented from though…

6.     Police officer’s Mess  (several across Lagos)

8.     Yetunde Hall, Parkview , Ikoyi,Lagos

9.     Lagoon restaurant Victoria Island, Lagos

10.   Ocean View Restaurant Victoria Island, Lagos

11.   Terrakulture Victoria Island, Lagos

12.   City Mall, Lagos Island

13.   National Theatre (The Largest Hall)

14.   National Stadium (Indoor sports hall and another)

15.   Jhalobia Gardens, Airport Road, Ikeja

16.   The Haven. Ikeja , Lagos

17.   Garden of Pearls, Ikeja, Lagos

18.   Adebowale House Opebi, Ikeja  (there is a venue there right or am I mixing things up?)

19.   UNILAG Auditoriums (All of them including the Gardens)

20.   Auditorium, Festac, Lagos

21.   Golden Tulip hotel…Amuwo Odofin, Lagos

22.   Kaz Hall Ago Palace way

23.   Redeemed Christian Church of God, 24 Rd. Festac, Lagos

27.   Major Hall at Agbara (Can’t remember the name but really big)

28.   So many halls in Surulere…I can’t recall their names

29.   The Halls close to Fela’s shrine at Agidingbi  Ikeja (Almost all…if not all)

30.   OGTV Hall, Abeokuta, Ogun state, Lagos

31.   Main Auditorium University of Ife

32.   Marquee event place at Abuja (will update when I remember the name)
